UPDATE: The City released a media advisory yesterday at 1pm regarding the closure of Grey Road 1. Grey County then decided to change the closure date to mid-September.The signs on the road are going to be changed, and a media release will be issued closer to the revised closure dateOwen Sound's Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Operational Effectiveness apologizes for any issues this has caused.

Grey Road 1 (3rd Avenue West within the City) will be closed to through traffic from 27th Street West in Owen Sound to Grey Road 17A in Georgian Bluffs for Culvert Replacement.

This work is being completed by the County of Grey. Those directly affected by this closure will be notified by the County.

This road closure will not impact City transit or road access to those living within the City boundary. Local traffic within the City will be permitted.
