On Thursday, October 6, 2022, the Leaf and Yard Waste Compost Site, located at 2800 28th Avenue East, will be closed to the public while the City completes culvert repairs at the entrance to the Site and on the roadway of 28th Ave E to address ongoing flooding issues.

There will be no access to the Compost Site as 28th Avenue East will be closed from 20th Street East to 26th Street East.

It is expected that the Compost Site will reopen for regular hours on Friday, October 7th, at 8:30 a.m. For more information, please contact Rick Chappell at 519-376-4440 ext. 1226 or email [email protected].

The City of Owen Sound’s Leaf and Yard Waste Compost Site is open to residents of the City of Owen Sound. The Site is open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
