It’s nearly time for the Labour Day holiday, and as you prepare for the long weekend, the City is reminding everyone of facility closures, modified hours,
and alternate programming on Monday, September 4. Here is all you need to know to plan ahead so you can spend quality time with family and friends.

City Hall:

Closed Monday, September 4.
Regular
hours of operation resume at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5.

Public Works:

Closed Monday, September 4.
Regular
hours of operation resume at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5.

Transit:

Transit terminal remains open until 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 4 for GOST ticket purchases.  Guelph Owen Sound Transit (GOST) will remain operating its regular schedule.

Owen Sound Transit and Mobility Transit will not be running on Monday, September 4.  Regular service will resume on Tuesday, September 5.

Waste Management:

The Transfer Station is closed on Monday, September 4. Regular hours of operation will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5.

The Leaf & Yard Waste Compost Site is open regular hours from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library:

Closed on Monday, September 4. Regular hours of operation resume at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5.

Visitors’ Centre:

Open Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Closed on Monday, September 4. Regular hours of operation resume at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5.

Tom Thomson Art Gallery:

Open regular hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 2 (closed Sunday and Monday as usual).

Hours will change to 12 noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday – Friday, starting on Tuesday, September 5. Saturday hours remain at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Recreational Facilities:

The Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre is open Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Open regular hours on Monday, September 4.

The Bayshore Community Centre is open regular hours from Saturday, September 2 through Monday, September 4.

The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce is closed for scheduled maintenance from Saturday, August 26 through Sunday, September 10.

Owen Sound Police:

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For non-emergencies, call 519-376-1234 and for emergencies call 911.

Owen Sound Fire & Emergency Services:

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For non-emergencies, call 519-376-2512 and for emergencies call 911.

By-law Enforcement:

Complaints or questions can always be submitted online. Regular By-Law hours will resume on Tuesday, September 5 at 8:30 a.m.
