The City of Owen Sound has awarded the reconstruction of 12th Street East, from 3rd Avenue East (Grey Road 15) to 4th Avenue East to MacDonnell Excavating Ltd. Construction will commence June 14th and is expected to conclude in the Fall of 2016. The work will include:

- Reconstruction of approximately 140m of roadway;

- Replacement of approximately 110m of existing sanitary sewer and sanitary services to the property line;

- Replacement of approximately 125m of existing watermain and water services to the property line;

- Replacement of approximately 110m or existing storm sewer including catchbasins and maintenance structures;

- Restoration of all disturbed areas, including sidewalk, curb, driveways and all surface elements within the boulevard.

12th Street East will be closed to through traffic from 3rd Avenue East (Grey Road 15) to 4th Avenue East beginning June 14. Local access shall be maintained to affected properties and emergency response vehicles at all times.
