Nine Savour Owen Sound restaurants are extending this year's promotion over the March Break, offering delicious three-course meals for a special price.

"We are seeing great success with this and wanted to continue it over the March Break," said Jason Hemstock, Manager of the Best Western Inn on the Bay, which is promoting Savour Owen Sound at its restaurant, Bishop's Landing.

Other participating restaurants include Nathaniel's, Sabitri's Global Cuisine, Villa Nina Bistro, Elsie's Diner, the Sweetwater Restaurant at Cobble Beach Resort, Harrison Park Inn, The Curry House, and Jazzmyn's.

These independently owned restaurants are offering dinner specials from $19.95 to $34.95. Each special includes a three-course meal as well as the chance to win a gourmet food basket featuring local products.

More than 500 people have enjoyed Savour Owen Sound dinners and entered ballots in our contest this year.

Ruth Downs of Owen Sound won the first gift basket after dining at Bishop's Landing. Her prize included local goodies such as Kilannan craft beer, Coffin Ridge's 'Forbidden Cider,' locally roasted Ironwood Coffee, gifts from Owen Sound Farmer's Market vendors such as Woolies in the Country, Susan's Biscotti, Cottage Country North preserves, Sophie's Choice dog and cat treats, and Eternal Bee candles, plus a copy of Saints & Sinners by Richard Thomas (donated by the Ginger Press), mugs, glasses, Owen Sound and Grey County souvenirs and a $50 gift certificate from downtown Owen Sound merchants!

This week's draw winner will be chosen on Tuesday, March 14, with our final draw on March 20th.
