The City of Owen Sound's Community Services Department invites the public to a presentation and working session on the City's Retail and Commercial Policy Review.
The City has retained MHBC Planning Limited and Tate Economic Research to undertake a Retail and Commercial Policy Review. The goal of this initiative is to ensure the policies of the City's Official Plan, with respect to retail and commercial policies, are responsive to current and emerging trends, and achieve the goals and objectives City Council has committed to.
The scope of the review will include:
- Collection of data & review of background studies and policies
- Stakeholder input & community engagement
- Develop policy options for Official Plan update
- Present final report to Community Services Committee and City Council at a future meeting
Following the Community Services Committee meeting on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the consulting team from MHBC Planning will present an overview of the purpose and process of the review and seek feedback from the public and stakeholders. Residents and stakeholders are invited to attend this presentation and working session.

This review will rely heavily on feedback from the community and stakeholders throughout the process. Following the meeting on March 21, the City will be seeking public feedback via an online survey available at www.owensound.ca/rcp.
