The City of Owen Sound will be continuing the construction of a new stormwater management facility as part of the Kenny Drain system. The diversion channel and stormwater management pond to be constructed as part of this project will slow the storm water runoff and reduce the amount of erosion taking place in the downstream channel. This will improve water quality in Georgian Bay.

As part of the road closure for the Kenny Drain project, please be advised that 20th Street East will be closed from 16th Avenue East to 20th Avenue East beginning Tuesday morning – May 29th.

Limited watermain works will take place during this project causing service interruptions. These interruptions will be no longer than one working day and will be preceded by a notice to the customer 48 hours in advance.
