Please be advised that the Operations Committee will be hosting a public meeting to receive and review input regarding proposed regulations for large vehicle parking on City streets.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 5:30 PM in Room 4, Suite 220 at Temporary City Hall, The Professional Centre – 945 3rd Avenue East, Owen Sound.
At their May 28, 2018 meeting, Council approved the May 8, 2018 Operations Committee meeting minutes recommendation to amend City of Owen Sound Traffic By-law 2009-075 to:
Prohibit overnight parking of any large vehicle on any City street between the hours of 9PM and 7AM and, further;
That the definition of "large vehicle" shall mean any motor vehicle having an overall height greater than 3.5 metres or overall length greater than 7.5 metres, with external attachments to the vehicle included in the measurement of height and length, and further;
Prohibit unattached trailer parking on any street of the City between the hours of 9PM and 7AM, and further;
That the Operations Committee recommends City Council apply for set fines for this infraction in the amount of $40 for each offence
