While there's many different interpretations of the 'official' beginning of summer, the City of Owen Sound can always count on the start of TD Harbour Nights Summer Concert Series to mark the occasion.
TD Harbour Nights Concerts happen every Sunday from June 17th to August 12th, excluding Sunday July 1st when live music and other Canada Day celebrations will be taking place at Kelso Beach in Owen Sound. The summer of 2018 will mark the 17th annual season of the free live music performances that take place on the west side of the inner harbour, at the Owen Sound Visitor Centre, 1155 1st Avenue West.
All concerts begin at 7 PM and are rain or shine events. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be relocated to the nearby Legion Auditorium. These events are free, but donations are appreciated.
This Sunday, June 17th, the Concert Series kicks off with singer, songwriter, performer & indie rock artist Stacey Reneé of Thornhill, Ontario. Stacey is taking to the stage following a short intro and 'taste' of the local women's a capella group, Bluewater Chorus. Other local performers you can catch this summer include:
Rob Elder with special guest Emma Wright on June 24th
Georgian Sound Big Band on July 8th
Beggars Road on July 15th
Morgan Barrie with Tyler Beckett on July 22nd
Madison Galloway on July 29th
Settle The Ghost on August 5th
Marshall Veroni on August 12th
