Work continues on the Kenny Drain Stormwater Management Pond and Diversion Channel.

Please note that because of the location of the work, flaggers will be present in the 20th Street 16th Avenue East intersection.

The 20th Street closure from 16th Avenue to 20th Avenue East is still in place.

Both closures will continue for the week.

The City of Owen Sound will be continuing the construction of a new stormwater management facility as part of the Kenny Drain system. The diversion channel and stormwater management pond to be constructed as part of this project will slow the storm water runoff and reduce the amount of erosion taking place in the downstream channel. This will improve water quality in Georgian Bay.
