Owen Sound, Ontario – Tuesday, August 14, 2018 - The City of Owen Sound is excited to invite residents and visitors alike to enjoy free family activities and movie nights under the stars. Outdoor Movie Nights will feature a family-friendly movie, preceded by creative and engaging children's activities.
Outdoor Movie Nights schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, August 16: Moana, at the Bayshore Community Centre
- Thursday, August 23: The Croods at Harrison Park
- Thursday, August 30: Despicable Me 3 at Kelso Beach
In case of poor weather, each Outdoor Movie Night will be relocated to a nearby indoor venue.
Free family activities begin at 7:30 PM, including a hula hoop and Poi dance workshop led by Vita Bowen prior to Moana this Thursday. Each Outdoor Movie Night is free to attend and includes free popcorn for kids (limited quantity available).
Owen Sound's Outdoor Movie Nights is presented by the City of Owen Sound, The Hungry Hippo Childcare Centre, Community Living of Owen Sound and District, and the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit.
Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, snacks and friends - anything required to be comfortable and enjoy a family-focused movie night under the stars! Seating is not provided.
