Garbage and Recycling Collection in the City of Owen Sound has been suspended due to the severe weather. The Miller Waste Transfer Station and the Owen Sound Recycling Depot will also be closed for the day.

The Thursday East Side Garbage and Recycling route will not be picked up today, but will be picked up on Friday, February 1, along with Friday’s regular route. As Miller Waste Systems staff will be doing two routes in one day, the collection will take longer than normal.

To assist the collection staff and to ensure that your Blue Box and Garbage are not lost in the snow, please place them in a location that will not be plowed under if the snow plow operators arrive before the collection trucks do.

The Miller Waste Transfer Station and Owen Sound Recycling Depot will re-open on Friday morning.
