The City of Owen Sound has a Vacancy Toolkit available for owners of vacant commercial property.
The Vacancy Toolkit, developed through the City’s Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Committee, is available at City Hall and is aimed to promote beautification, growth and entrepreneurial opportunity in the City’s downtown.
“This is an exciting opportunity that is available to property owners and realtors to help market their vacant buildings,” stated Councillor Travis Dodd, Chair of the Economic Development and Tourism Advisory Committee. “The resources contained within the Vacancy Toolkit will be extremely beneficial to the growth and beautification of our community.”
The Vacancy Toolkit includes:
- Two decorative window coverings;
- City’s new Welcome Package, outlining services and amenities available to new residents and entrepreneurs (currently in print);
- Grey County Business Enterprise Centre information and resources; and
- Façade and Structural Improvement Grant information and applications.
More information pertaining to the Vacancy Toolkit is available on the City’s revamped Economic Development page at www.owensound.ca/movingforward.
