Beginning Monday, April 27, 2020 the City of Owen Sound’s Leaf & Yard Waste Composting Facility located at 2800 28th Avenue East will be open between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. The facility will now be closed on Sundays.

Due to the effects of COVID-19, the City will be restricting access to the facility to 15 vehicles at one time. Residents are to exercise social distancing practices while onsite.

Items you can bring to the site to dispose of include:

· Grass clippings and leaves
· Branches, logs and twigs

Please also take this as a reminder that the following items are not acceptable and must be brought to the Miller Waste Transfer Station:

· Garbage
· Pet Waste
· Kitchen Waste
· Plastic Bags or Flowerpots
· Dimensional lumber
· Rocks, Rubble and Construction Waste
