16th Avenue East will be closed to through traffic from 10th Street East to 16th Street East on Thursday, August 20 to allow watermain improvements to be completed prior to the 16th Street East rehabilitation project. Access to businesses along 16th Avenue East will be maintained from 16th Street East. The duration of the closure is expected to take place from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The core route for transit will be redirected from 16th Avenue East to 18th Avenue East via 10th Street East and return to its regular route on 16th Avenue East at 16th Street East. The two bus stops on 16th Avenue East between 10th Street East and 16th Street East will not be available.
