snowshoeing

Re: A new pass to support Conservation, February 7, 2021

I live close to one Conservation area, and with the increase in number of active older adults living in this area, it is shocking to believe that authorities think washroom facilities are only required in the fair weather months. In fact it is the opposite.

Imagine you pack up for snow shoeing and have no where to go. I have seen people go to desperate measures.

I remember years ago when the toilets at Hibou were closed Labour Day weekend and my 4 year old needed a toilet badly.

This fall the trails were so busy at Grey Sauble Conservation area and people were forced to go out in the open. I dont know how we think we can attract tourists or locals alike if this continues.
