Dear Editor:

Many of us, I'm sure, were saddened by the recent passing of Bruce Hall. I wanted to try and express some of what Bruce meant to me, and, no doubt, many others, too... whether they knew him as family or friend, whether they did business with him, or simply smiled when they passed by his house and business (ReNewed Computers on 2nd Ave. E.) and gazed upon one of his many themed displays of inflatable celebrations of joy, and, also, if they ever had the pleasure of strolling around in his incredible gardens at the back of the house.In addition to all that, Bruce and his partner, Alexa Burns, were, at times, quite helpful and caring towards my family and I.

So I am deeply saddened, but also honoured to have known him, and am somewhat a better person for that experience. So I drew this illustration and will include both the initial sketch and then my attempt to add colour (pen and pencils) because Bruce deserves at least the attempt to colour life, because THAT'S what he did.
