There is a case study for high school students that goes like this. A class rep is elected on the promise that she will vote a certain way on an issue that is before student council. However, once she attends school council and hears all of the pros and cons of the issue, she can see that the correct thing is to vote the other way. The question is, should she do what she thinks is right and then go back to her class and explain why she did that or should she vote the way her class wanted her to.
