Just an update - thanks to all who helped promote the event with coverage this week!

Thanks to the support of local businesses and the community, over $5000 was raised for the Johnson family through the United Way fire fund at cookie and lemonade sales this weekend, through sales and in-person donations.

The organizers want to extend a huge thank you to Freedom 55 Financial, Stone Tree Golf & Fitness, Zehrs Markets Owen Sound, Have1.com, Warrilow's Trucking and Sun Spa Tanning Salon for their generosity, who covered all of the costs for this event. Thank you to Owen Sound Farmers Market and Zehrs Markets for giving us space and equipment, and to Georgian College and Stone Tree for lending us your many ovens.

Any leftover cookies will be available at Just a Cup in Owen Sound for the next couple of days, with proceeds still to benefit the Johnson family.
