Thanks to an investigative report by the CBC and Toronto Star there is little doubt that collusion exists between Ticketmaster and its brokers (scalpers). This comes as no surprise as tickets for popular entertainment events have been sold at highly inflated prices for a long time.

In Ontario the previous government had legislation in place that would have protected the consumer but the new conservative Ford government killed this legislation before it could take effect. This allows Ticketmaster and the scalpers to continue with their highly lucrative but immoral business practice and fits the Ford mantra of Ontario being “open for business”. It is however not good FOR THE PEOPLE.
