I was a high school teacher, full time for 22 years. I felt I was decently paid, but not excessively. But for me it was NEVER about the money. It was about teaching/working/learning conditions. I sometimes think it didn't always come down to that and ended up, often, seeming to be about money.
I think that many involved couldn't be bothered or didn't have the political will power to actually face the problems and ended up just throwing some money at it to shut most everybody up. ... Kind like the environment and other issues in society. That's my perception. That's my truth.
