pinkIt was an invasion of 'pink' in schools throughout Bluewater District School Board for Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, February 24th as students and staff came together to recognize the importance of standing up to eliminate all forms of bullying. Bluewater schools are active year round when it comes to raising anti- bullying awareness, though Pink Shirt Day is often seen as a key highlight.

Red carpet 2086731832 2Awards Night at the Movies is an evening long gala fundraising event centering around the broadcast of the 86th Academy Awards, including the Red Carpet portion of the broadcast, shown on the BIG screen at Galaxy Cinemas Owen Sound. Starting at 7:30 pm February 28th, Awards Night at the Movies is a "must attend" event for the region. 

Upon arrival at Awards Night at the Movies, guests will walk the red carpet, be interviewed by our own red carpet hosts and have their picture taken by paparazzi. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in multiple fundraising initiatives including the Silent Auction and "Best Picture" draw for their chance to win an

sunsetgirlJust two months ago, a teenage girl wrote on her public Facebook page. On the same pages are selfies in new clothes and photos of sunsets. And a picture of her bruises.

The girl, 16 years old and reported as living at "no fixed address", died over the weekend. We do not know the circumstances.
