Friday was the 10th anniversary of the declaration of Franco-Ontarian Day, and the staff and students at École catholique Saint-Dominique-Savio celebrated! The masked man in the photo? Directeur Graham Monk proudly wearing his green and white.
While in other years the school made the trip to Owen Sound city hall to raise the Franco-Ontarian flag over the City, this year City Councillor Scott Greig came up to the school.
All the grades helped raise the flag.
The Franco-Ontario flag was first flown twenty-five years ago – on September 25, 1975 at the University of Sudbury.
