Bill StreeterEach year the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre hosts “A Time to Remember”, an event held to commemorate Remembrance Day. This year’s event will be held on the Museum’s Facebook page as a free Live event.

Join local historian Bill Streeter as he guides participants through his presentation featuring Bruce County soldiers, who were the first to arrive in France with the 1st Contingent of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and their experiences during the Battle of Givenchy on June 15 and 16, 1915. Mr. Streeter’s presentation highlights stories of local soldiers, and the significance of this battle for Bruce County. Following the presentation there will be time for a question and answer session. The recorded event will remain on the Museum’s Facebook Page for those who could not tune in to view the Live stream. This program is free for the public and will be hosted on the Museum’s Facebook page Live at 3:00pm, on Thursday, November 5.
