The West Grey Public Library continues to add services for its patrons and guests as winter approaches. Neustadt Branch will re-open December 3rd, with new flooring and in-branch service. Hours at the branch will increase, as well, to 12-5pm Thursdays.

Programs over November and December include:
- a visit from Chef Keith Hagedorn via Zoom on November 12th at 1 pm (registration by Nov 11 at [email protected]);
- Problem Solved! a Zoom workshop on problem-solving and decision-making for small business owners and staff, and telecommuters; and
- a reading of A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas by Library staff on YouTube, starting at 8 pm on December 7th.

Also featured for the holiday season is A Starry Night of Reading, in partnership with Durham’s The Colour Jar, where readers enter for a chance to win a Colour Jar gift certificate for $30 by entering the title of a book borrowed from the Library that they’ve completed, along with the title of the artwork in the Colour Jar’s window. Draw takes place on December 22nd.

Children and youth can have fun with their Library, too!
- The monthly LEGO club lets young inventors post photos of their creations for a chance to win a gift certificate from Hanover’s Giddy Goblin
- Gather items from the family’s recycling bin, make your own invention and send a photo go [email protected] by November 24th to win!
- A holiday neighbourhood walk/ride scavenger hunt in December – physically distant, festive fun – with prizes!! Grab a Scavenger list at any Library branch.
- Holiday Tinker Craft kit – get a great craft kit on loan from the Library and use the supplies to make a craft from the enclosed instructions – or make your own! Send photos for sharing!

The Library’s newsletter has now moved online, and patrons are urged to provide their email addresses so they don’t miss out on new programming and services.
