On Saturday, December 5, come support Grey County youth and small businesses through the Holiday Student Makers Market! This market is being organized by the Grey County Business Enterprise Centre as part of a micro grant program designed to encourage young entrepreneurs from across the region. Through the Student Makers Market Micro Grant Program, successful applicants participated in a series of business skill development webinars and received grants of $750 to put towards the creation and development of handmade goods. These unique products, ranging from woodworking and art to baking mixes and apparel, will be available for purchase at the Student Makers Market on December 5.

“The Makers Market is a great opportunity for students to learn entrepreneurial skills and bring their product ideas to life. Best of all, products will be available just in time for the holiday season,” said Courtney Miller, manager of the Business Enterprise Centre with Grey County.

Admission to the market is free, but visitors are required to book a time slot in advance as the market will be adhering to all public health regulations and recommendations, including limiting capacity. To book a time to shop the market or for more information, visit studentmarket.eventbrite.ca.

Funding for the Student Makers Marker Micro Grant Program was provided by the Province of Ontario and administered through the Grey County Business Enterprise Centre.
