The Owen Sound Professional Fire Fighters want to say thank you to the area residents and businesses that helped to make our annual toy drive a success. In partnership with the Salvation Army, and supported by the Owen Sound Rotary Club, we packed over 500 bags of new toys for girls and boys in the City of Owen Sound.
"We are so grateful for the strong annual support for the toy drive," said Greg Nicol, Owen Sound Professional Firefighters Toy Drive co-ordinator. "The outpouring of donations from the community was very much appreciated to make the toy drive a success."
The Owen Sound Fire Fighters would also like to thank Keystone Child and Family Services for allowing us to use some of their space to house our workshop. We thank Barry's Construction for the tremendous support that they have offered us for many years. We thank Council and the Chief Barfoot for their continued support of this tradition in the City. Finally, thank you to the Salvation Army for their hard work in distributing the bags of gifts to families in our community. It was a very Merry Christmas and successful toy drive.
