Glassworks Co-operative is being designed as a development that will help our City be more sustainable and resilient, add more housing for all ages with a goal of 30% or more attainable, affordable units, and offer local economic development opportunities on its beautiful 46 acre property in north-east Owen Sound.

This Wednesday, February 24th, at 7 p.m. ,Glassworks is holding another in its series of co-design sessions.

We are honoured to be joined by three dynamic women - Jan Chamberlain of the Grey Bruce Council on Aging, Pat Kelly of Bronson RISE, and Janet Torge of  Radical Resthomes. They'll help guide an engaging conversation about how best to incorporate aging and accessibility considerations into building and systems design and decision-making.

Glassworks is committed to meet the need for quality affordable senior housing that keeps people in their homes and engaged in their community as long as possible. Come and discuss unit design, connectivity, systems of care, and other senior needs with community leaders and fellow future residents. Register here

The next session , March 10, will be about designing for sustainability and affordability. Every material and design decision will contribute to our goal of affordable, net zero living spaces. Come and discuss with industry professionals best options for material choices, design principles and building methods that will help define the future of sustainable, affordable housing.

Register here.

More sessions are planned for later this spring, as well as some on-site events when circumstances allow.
