water festivalThe Grey Bruce Children's Water Festival is running a virtual festival this year in celebration of their 20th anniverary.

From June 7-18, grade 4 students all across Grey and Bruce Counties will be educated about the wise use, conservation and protection of our water and water sources. This year event will include all grade 5 students as well, since the festival was cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

The other aspect of the festival mphasizes stewardship - how the students can make a big difference by making informed and responsible choices in their own lives. To this end, this year's festival has included an Action Plan Challenge for all classes. The challenge is to take just one aspect of the event that they enjoyed learning about and develop an action plan to promote this to others. They have full artistic rights here - it could be a poster, a song, a video, a social media post... anything they want. Filmmaker brings water message to life - a lego movie made by Olivier Lafleur, a grade 7 student at École St. Dominique-Savio in Owen Sound, would be an amazing example to lead by.
