steve kenny An Owen Sound resident is taking on a new running challenge.

Steve Kenny will be at the starting line of The Big Run 3.0, tomorrow, Friday, June 11th to attempt a fastest known time on the Bruce Trail. He will be running the trail from Queenston Heights Park in Niagara all the way to Tobermory - a distance of nearly 900KMs.

This adventure is an opportunity to raise awareness and support for Eat Local Grey Bruce and their Zero Waste Project. They are raising funds to make their operations more Zero Waste. This support with help Eat Local in their goal of creating viable, sustainable, local, and ingenuitive food systems that support local farmers.

Kenny has attempted two extensive running adventures, which they aptly named Big Run1.0 and Big Run 2.0. Each of these runs were close to 100km.
The Bruce Trail Fastest Known Time record was set in September 2020 by ultra-runner John Pockler, who completed the route in 9 days, 17 hours and 2 minutes.
