Meaford MuseumAfter another lengthy lockdown, the Meaford Museum is pleased to announce that it is able to reopen to the public on Friday July 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM. With over nine thousand artifacts in our collection, the Museum is eager to welcome the community back to continue creating our shared history.

The Museum’s exhibitions cover the whole of the history of the Municipality of Meaford, including the former townships of St. Vincent and Sydenham. The current exhibitions focus on life in World War One, John Muir, and the real story behind the book Beautiful Joe. It also covers the history of our local schools, police and firefighting in the area, the apple and maritime industries, and the lifestyles of past Meaford residents.

The Museum’s operating hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
