We had virtual fireworks on Canada Day but now we can do it live!

The Municipality of Meaford has a fireworks display planned for Friday September 3rd starting at sunset.

This year for Canada Day a virtual fireworks experience was offered instead of the traditional Municipal fireworks display which is held every year near the Meaford Harbour. “We have not been able to do our in-person fireworks last year or this year for Canada Day because of COVID-19,” said Janet Sperling, Manager of Strategic Initiatives. “This year fireworks were postponed on July 1st with the idea that September would be a better and safer time with larger outdoor gathering limits being allowed.”

An approximate 15 minute firework show is planned near Meaford Harbour starting at sunset. Current provincial COVID-19 safety measures are to be followed. There are several locations where the fireworks can be watched from while socially distancing. To learn more on how you can enjoy the fireworks please visit Meaford.ca/fireworks.
