This year our Golf Fore Kids’ Sake event was our biggest year yet! More golfers than ever before joined us on the course at Sauble Golf & Country Club, on Saturday, September 18th, 2021. It was a hole in one kind of day, as we enjoyed a sunny day of golf, food and lots of fun, all while supporting the many youth we serve in our communities.

Our Golf Fore Kids’ Sake event raised over $8000! These much-needed funds will benefit the many youth we serve, including the many kids who are waiting to be matched with a caring adult.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce wants to give a huge “THANK YOU!” to all the participants and all the local businesses who donated to our event. We also want to thank our sponsors Georgian Invitational, Walker, Mix 106.5, and to Scotia Wealth, who matched our funds up to $3000. It is only because of all of you, that we are able to continue providing meaningful relationships to youth in our community, who need our services.

Saturday was also a special day, as it was national Big Brothers Big Sisters Day! On this day and all of September we celebrate all the ways that volunteer mentors support youth and the critical importance of mentoring relationships. This year has been especially hard on many young people we serve, as harmful effects of the pandemic have increased the levels of stress and anxiety in their homes.
