The Friends of the West Grey Library are gearing up to relaunch their very popular Book Sale, after a COVID-year break.

With a move to the Durham Legion Branch 308 at 271 Bruce St N to accommodate the books they’ve accumulated, the favourite event among booklovers starts at 1 pm on Friday, October 22nd until 7 pm, then re-opens on Saturday, October 23rd for a full day, 9 am to 4 pm.

Lois Lockner, Friends of the Library President, reports that, “ patrons have been asking and we are delighted to once again offer this sale, It will be bigger and better than ever! “ Covid protocols will be followed; ie masking, proof of vaccination, photo id and contact tracing.

The Friends, which had been steadily expanding the book sale to two and then three events a year before COVID hit, uses proceeds from the sale to support programs at all library branches in West Grey. Past help has included new seating for adults and youth, upgrades to the computer room and enhancing the Summer Reading Program for Children.

Items include DVD’s and books for all ages, both fiction and non-fiction. Arrive early for best selection!
