booksBruce County Public Library is running its annual Food for Fines program at all 17 branches in Bruce County.

From November 29th to December 12th, clear some of your overdue fines and help support local food banks at the same time! For every non-perishable, unexpired food item donated, $2.00 will be cleared from your library fines (up to a maximum of $10.00). Those without fines are welcome to donate as well.

Bruce County Public Library started this successful program in 2015, and it has continued to be one of our most valued programs. This year, we hope to surpass our record by clearing $300 in fines and get more items to local food banks.

Director Brooke McLean feels hopeful about this year's outcome, stating, "COVID-19 continues to affect our communities, and our local food banks are helping more people in need. With the support of our library members, this year's Food for Fines campaign will be our most impactful yet."

To learn more about how you can participate in Food for Fines, get in touch with your local Bruce County Public Library branch, either by phone or e-mail, or visit our website at library.brucecounty.on.ca for a complete list of branches.
