Save Georgian Bay today announced Save the Bay Polar Dip is a new and exciting event happening soon in Meaford. Save Georgian Bay is challenging the brave people of our region to take a dip in our pristine (and frigid) Georgian Bay. Register on the website and enlist as many sponsors as you can, then join the dip at 1:00 p.m. on February 27 at Fred Raper Park.Alternatively, you can pass on the plunge and still help out by sponsoring a participant.

You are welcome to join us by doing the dip or watch the event livestreamed in the comfort of your home.

All funds raised go towards supporting the volunteer work of Save Georgian Bay. We are a non-profit organization, striving to raise awareness and protect our national treasure and the communities who rely on it from the negative impact of TC Energy’s proposed pumped storage project.

The Save Georgian Bay Group was inspired by International Polar Bear Day which was created to coincide with the time when polar bear moms and cubs are snug in their dens.
