The Library in Owen Sound is looking for a student to fill a 16-week, full-time contract position to help them establish a creation station.

The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library invites applications for the full-time, contract position of Creation Station Assistant. This position requires daytime, evening and Saturday work for an average of 35 hours per week, and will run for a maximum of 15 weeks, beginning May 9 and concluding on August 26.
Position Summary: The Creation Station Assistant is a full-time, contract position reporting to the Deputy Chief Librarian. The Creation Station Assistant is responsible for developing and implementing training and programs for children and adults around the Library’s Creation Station Technology. This position is also expected to take part in community outreach promoting the Library and its programs.
This position receives funding support from Young Canada Works.
The successful candidate for the position of Summer Programs Coordinator should possess the following skills: ∙ Comfort and experience with maker space technology
∙ Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relations with staff and public
∙ Good communication skills
∙ Enthusiasm and presentation skills
∙ Respect for confidentiality
∙ Motivated and able to exercise independent judgement
∙ Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
Program Participants must:
∙ be returning to school in the fall.
∙ be 18 to 30 years of age.
∙ be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee.
∙ not be employed at another full-time job over 30 hours a week.
