Construction is underway in Owen Sound ahead of the 47th annual Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival this coming weekend. Volunteers are readying the site at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park as the festival returns to its normal format after two years of pandemic adaptations.

The festival gates open at 4pm on Friday evening August 19 and runs through to Sunday night.

This year more than forty musical acts will perform across five stages. They will be joined by artisan craft vendors and food trucks throughout the park on the shores of Georgian Bay. The schedule includes concerts, dance workshops, and special activities for children and families.

“It’s amazing to be back at Kelso Beach and Nawash Park en masse this year”, said Artistic Director James Keelaghan. “It’s a home coming and in some ways we’re relearning how to make it happen. We know that folks are hungry for great live music and the volunteer crews are setting the table all week”.
