As summer winds down, West Grey Library is gearing up – for harvest!
The West Grey Library Harvest series includes a contest, workshops and activities for all ages.
Job-seekers can launch their harvest season by dropping in for employment advice from a Y expert on Tuesday, Sept 13, any time from 2 to 4 pm, no appointment necessary.
The “If I Only Had a Brain, I’d Be Reading” Scarecrow Contest has launched with entries welcomed from all ages. Scarecrows need to illustrate the theme – and be at any branch by September 29th. Rules and entry form at all branches; voting ballots available later in the month.
The new Take Ten activity bundles for adults offers a puzzle, recipe, reading list, poetry, colouring sheet and a couple of surprises, so you can take a quick break when it all gets too busy (Available at all branches while supplies last). The theme this month, of course – harvest!
Workshops, from pressing flowers to making kombucha, follow in the second half of the month, so check in with your favourite branch or online at www.westgreylibrary.com.
