The Durham Food Bank and West Grey Public Library need your help in sharing seasonal cheer with our neighbours in need.
They've got the Tree Tags for the gifts the food bank sends along with its Christmas hampers, and they're hoping the community can help out with the gifts.
The tags, each dedicated to a specific child, privacy protected, are now available at the library's Durham branch.

The West Grey Public Library Welcomes the Holiday Season
West Grey Library loves the holidays -- and the folks in West Grey!
The Food Bank’s Tree Tags are here! Drop into Durham Branch and take home a tag – or two! Each tag has a child’s age and, where possible, a couple of words about their interests. Buy a gift, attach the tag and return it to the Library by Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Your gift will accompany a Christmas hamper going to a local family who could really use the lift. Feel good and support your neighbours!
You can build in a little peace this holiday season too, with a trip to the Library to wrap your gifts! You'll enjoy free hot beverages, quiet music and a selection of gift wrap (thanks, donors!) to make this hour or two pleasantly productive, but also peaceful! Bring a gift or two – the tape, wrap and a large surface will all be available.
And you can even make your own gift wrap using our supplies – the $2 suggested donation will go straight to the Durham & District Food Bank for its Christmas Hamper and Tree Tag programs.
