The Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce is hosting the first annual Soup’s On fundraising event and will be hosted at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 11:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m.

Thirteen local eateries will be competing for titles such as Best Creamy Soup, Best Hearty Soup, Best Vegetarian Soup and a coveted People’s Choice award.

Sample a tasting from 25 unique soups while perusing an in-person / online silent auction.

Admission to the event is by donation and tasting tickets are $20 for six soup samples.

Tasting tickets can be purchased in advance oline here or in person at the event.

The Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce will be hosting the competition, alongside a silent auction (online and in person), live entertainment, a children’s area, and more.

A limited number of locally made pottery tasting bowls will also be available for purchase. Sample and cast your ballot for your favourite soup!

Proceeds from the auction go towards programs, services, and support for over 1,000 people in Grey-Bruce living with dementia.
