Groups working to support and enable breastfeeding in our region are screening free showings of the movie Milk by writer/director Noemi Weis. The award-winning documentary explores the politics and marketing surrounding birth and infant feeding, capturing the story in stunningly beautiful visuals and compelling narrative.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit, in partnership with the Grey Bruce Breastfeeding Coalition, is offering three opportunities to view this movie in Grey and Bruce. Screenings will be followed by discussion sessions.
May 5 - 12:30 pm at M'Wikwedong Native Cultural Resource Centre, 1723 8th Avenue East, Owen Sound, followed by an expert panel.
May 10 - 6:00 pm at Grey Bruce Health Unit, 101 17th Street East, Owen Sound, followed by a community discussion.
May 12 - 6:30 pm at The Food Doc, 211 10th Street, Hanover, followed by an expert panel.
All showings are free or by voluntary donation.
