Caregiver-WorkshopsAre you interested in supporting women who are experiencing caregiver burnout? Are you a caregiver looking for resources?

The Rural Women's Health Support Initiative will be hosting four free training workshops in Grey and Bruce counties and invite those who are interested in becoming part of a peer support network to participate. The Owen Sound workshop, hosted by the North Grey Women's Institute (WI) Wednesday, May 4, will be held at at the New Life Centre 199 - 4th Ave West. Details of other regional workshops here.

The goal is to build a network for caregivers who need someone to talk to over the phone, provide information on available resources and help them focus on improving their well-being if they are experiencing caregiver burnout.

This opportunity will be of interest to individuals seeking an ongoing volunteer opportunity through which they can make a difference in the lives of people in their own community. The morning session (open to the general public)  is an overview of caregiver resources, while the afternoon session will involve training for individuals who would like to be part of a network of volunteers who can provide support to caregivers in our area.
