Grey Roots Museum and Archives is hosting a brand new event on Sunday, June 12 from noon to 5 PM. Saints & Sinners Taste of the Trail is a chance to taste great beer, wine and cider while enjoying delicious food and live entertainment in the Moreston Heritage Village. Thirteen members of the Saints & Sinners Trail are participating. Ticket prices - $20 in advance (includes five sample drink tickets), $10 for designated drivers, $25 at the door on June 12; $15 at the door for designated drivers.
The Saints & Sinners Trail is a map that brings together 17 beer, wine and cider producers from across Grey,Simcoe and Bruce Counties. It was inspired by the Saints & Sinners: A Spirited History exhibit that launched at Grey Roots Museum and Archives in 2013. The exhibit is now part of the Grey Gallery collection. Other activities on June 12 include readings from the newly-released book Saints and Sinners: The Story of Canada's Last Dry City by local author Richard Thomas. The book focuses on the history of Prohibition and bootlegging in Owen Sound and signed copies will be for sale.
Enjoy live music from Juno-award winning barrelhouse and boogie-woogie pianist Julian Fauth and friends. Limited-edition Saints & Sinners t-shirts, growlers or tumblers will also be available.
June 12 is also when the Saints & Sinners Trail launches a Growler Passport Contest. Taste the trail this summer and collect stickers at various locations for a chance to win great prizes!
