The 2016 butterfly count will begin at the Visitor Centre in MacGregor Point Provincial Park on July 9th. Both experts and beginners are welcome.
Participants are asked to arrive for sign-in between 9am and 10am, as groups will be leaving for the count at 10am. Please bring a five dollar donation for the North American Butterfly Association, a packed lunch and water, appropriate footwear, a net and field guides.
The count perimeter includes two provincial parks, two conservation areas, the rail trail, lake Huron shorelines and more.
After you've completed your day of counting, head back to the Visitor Centre, for the final count tallies.
