venusA fundraiser connecting three businesses in support of a fourth will take place in downtown Owen Sound starting at 5:30pm on Friday August 12.

Part One will be a vegetarian dinner featuring locally produced food at The Ginger Press; Part Two will be a recital by world-renowned pianist Kati Gleiser featuring classical and original compositions on the grand piano at de Boer Gallery; and Part Three will be Rumi poetry readings with musical accompaniment by Daniel Kolos, Sat Dharam Kaur and Katie at the Trillium Healing Arts Centre.

All funds raised will go to support MammAlive (www.mammalive.net) a non-profit organization established by Sat Dharam Kaur, ND to support a naturopathic protocol for preventing breast cancer and treating women with the disease. Dr Kaur has developed the Healthy Breast Program which involves natural therapies as well as conventional diagnostic and treatment options. She teaches others to teach the program globally as well as online.

Seating for Homage to Gaia is limited and reservations are essential. To register, contact The Ginger Press at 376-4233. Suggested donation per person is $50; all funds raised go to MammAlive.
