Big Brothers of Owen Sound has some exciting news! We are about to become Big Brothers Big Sisters of Owen Sound! And, we are moving our office to the Harmony Centre in downtown Owen Sound.

Big Brothers has been mentoring children in Owen Sound since 1964. This program helps children develop self esteem, stay in school, and prevent negative behaviours like bullying. We are really excited to now be able to extend our hand to both boys and girls in our community to guide them through the ever increasing demands of life.

Of course, expanding a program like this comes with some cost. We will be reaching out to the community once again to help with this initiative and we hope we will be able to count on Grey-Bruce for their continued support. Our hope is that with more volunteers and increased financial support we will be able to continue to provide this valuable community service.

In celebration of this new initiative we would like to invite the community to an open house on November 23 from 7 until 9 pm at our new location, the Harmony Centre at 890 4 th Avenue East (formerly Knox United Church). Wine and finger foods will be offered. We look forward to celebrating our news, and we will also have more information on the new Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
