Elizabeth Laustroer will be leading the next workshop in Billy Bishop Home & Museum's Crafting Community Project. Her free Needle Tatting Workshop will be held Tuesdays January 17, 24, 31 and February 7 from 7:00 pm to 9:00pm. at the Bishop Home, 948 3rd Avenue West, Owen Sound.
A #5 needle (approximately $10) will be required - this is different from shuttle tatting and quite unique.
The needles will need to be special ordered prior to the workshop, and will be available with the thread at the first lesson where you will learn the knot and picots. During the second lesson, you will continue to advance your knot and picot skills. As we progress to the 3rd and 4th lessons, you will learn to incorporate beads into your project to complete it.
This workshop will be documented and an exhibit will be mounted at the end of the entire project highlighting crafts created during the project.
If you are interested in attending this workshop as part of our "Crafting Community" project please contact Diane Sprung as soon as possible at the Billy Bishop Home & Museum 519-371-0031 or email at [email protected].
