This traveling exhibit from the Children's Museum of Indianapolis transports builders of all ages to a fanciful kingdom where they can explore, play, and build their own castle. Explore a giant fortress, aim a catapult, defend the castle walls, and see a dragon in this interactive exhibit full of stories and adventure.

Festivities will take place all day on Saturday and include face painting, a craft of a crown or a knight's shield, a special building station with marshmallows and toothpicks, and a photo booth complete with castle-themed props!

castle builder 2"We're delighted to have this fun, hands-on exhibit at Grey Roots," said Claudette Martin, Engagement & Education Manager. "It's a great opportunity for children and families to learn about planning, construction, and medieval life through playing with one of the most-loved toys of all time."

Castle Builder is designed specifically for children and families, and features three age appropriate building areas: toddlers, 3-6, and 7+. Visitors can enter the kingdom's royal castle to sit in their majesties' thrones and view the royal decorations, including a suit of armour made out of LEGO® bricks. Children are encouraged to dress up in medieval costumes, climb the lookout tower, and peek through the curtains to view the king's secret treasure room filled
with jewels. A 3-D computer program and hands-on catapult offers the opportunity to build and test castle walls. Models of real-world castles Blarney, Arundel, and Neuschwanstein will delight older children with details on the planning behind castle building.

Castle Builder is an exciting opportunity for children and families to learn about history, science, and medieval culture through adventure, imagination, and fun! Come to Grey Roots this Saturday and Build Your Kingdom!

Castle Builder is open through January 6, 2018.
