Bluewater District School Board is accepting registrations from Grade 7 to 12 students wishing to enrol in the summer school program, which will run from July 4 to August 8, 2017 at Hillcrest Elementary School in Owen Sound.

In addition to recovering a lost credit, many secondary students enrol in summer school for a cooperative education experience or for an extra course to help them get ahead. Students increase flexibility in their paths to success in fun and engaging classes with energetic teachers and students from across our area.

"Reach Ahead" secondary new credit courses are offered to students entering Grade 9. Upgrade, transfer and new credit secondary courses are offered to both current secondary students and adults.

Non-credit elementary one or two-week courses, such as "Power-up Literacy" and "Math Booster Camp", are available to students in Grade 7 and 8 to help them prepare for secondary school. There are no course fees or transportation charges for elementary students.

Summer school is also open to any student in Grade 7 to 12 who is not enrolled in Bluewater District School Board.

To register and view course selection for this year's summer school program, please visit the Bluewater District School Board website home page or go to www.bwdsb.on.ca/CONED/ss_school. The registration deadline is Friday, June 30, 2017.
